Mahindra Tractors is Hiring a Material Handler Near Pontiac, MI
- Remove finished goods or raw materials from or to production lines and place in warehouse or production
- Unloading containers with large or heavy loads
- Feeding and staging production line
- Responsible for maintaining forklift equipment
- Adheres to all work instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices, and housekeeping procedures
- Load/unload trailers
- Power wash tractors as needed after leaving the production floor to prepare for final inspection before shipping out.
- Maintain clean and orderly warehouse
- Responsible for the accuracy of all transactions and product scanning
- Load finished goods for shipment to customers with an industrial truck or material handling device
- Responsible for repairing any damaged units
- Responsible for maintaining ISO standards
- Responsible for reporting safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action
- Performs other duties and/or completes training as required by the supervisor.
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- Demonstrates competency operating >=51K forklift with 2 years’ experience
- Load or unload trucks and verify the accuracy of items on demand
- Have 1 year of previous assembler experience on a production floor
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing operations environment preferred
- Work involves physical demands typically found in a manufacturing environment, such as but not limited to prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and/or moving materials
